An area of heavy, thundery rain is expected to become slow moving across parts of eastern England through the early hours of Friday morning before clearing away eastwards in the North Sea after dawn. Some places in the warning area could see frequent lightning, hail and gusty winds in addition to heavy rain. Some places may receive 30-40 mm of rain in a short period, with a chance of 50-60 mm in 3-4 hours in a few places.
